Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Loaves  and Fishes Community Meal

Free meal is open to all residents in Mantua,Hiram,Garrettsville and surrounding areas.  Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars or even if you just love a homemade meal.  You are cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. This meal is from 5-6:30 pm, the LAST Thursday of each month at Mantua Center Christian Church. 4118 S.R.82.

The Sisterhood of St. Joseph’s will hold the annual Christmas Boutique on Sunday, November 7, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Hughes Hall. The annual Holiday Bazaar sponsored by Music Boosters for Southeast Pirates will be held at  the Southeast High School Cafeteria on  Dec, 11, from  11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  $25 space*; no table provided or bring your own; $30 space*; 6 foot table provided; $35 space*; 6 foot table & electric provided**. *Spaces are limited to an 8 foot space (tables are 6’).  If you need additional space, please reserve more than one space.  **Electrical spaces limited.  First reserved, first served.  Reservations/payment required by November 15.  Each vendor is asked to provide one item from their table to be raffled off in a Chinese auction To reserve your space contact Michelle at Musicboosters4 southeastpirates@ gmail.com.

Bluegrass at Hambden Grange

Hambden Grange will host Mark Posey’s Doghouse Entertainment Bluegrass Jamboree, Saturday, October 23rd,  featuring  ‘Vertical Limit’  and  ‘Hidden Drive’.  Doors open at 6 pm. Show starts at  7 pm.  Food Stand is available.  Tickets are $12 for Adults and  Children under 12 are free. The Grange is located at 9778 Old State Road,  Chardon.

The Spirit Of Settlers Past

In honor of Colonial Heritage Month, Streetsboro’s Heritage Foundation presents The Spirit of Settlers Past.  Stories of Streetsboro female settlers from its Founding Families will give brief cameos of their lives in the 1800s on Sunday October 24th, 1-3 PM at the Streetsboro Singletary House Museum [behind Walmart & Tire Source] Refreshments included &, of course, see the nearly 200 year old Singletary House & its displays.

Garrettsville Cemetery Association Meeting

Freedom Township Halloween

Freedom Township will have Halloween on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at  the Freedom Town Hall (intersections of St. Rt. 700/88/303, 8966 St. Rt. 700, Ravenna) Come dressed in your best Halloween costume. Wine Pull Fundraiser

Open Arms Adoptions, a 501c3 nonprofit full-service adoption agency is holding their 6th Annual Wine Pull fundraiser on Saturday, November 6 at The NEW Center in Rootstown. VIP tickets are limited to 100 and are almost gone! VIP Happy Hour is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and general admission check-in begins at 6 p.m. The theme this year is Hollywood and Wine, so dress up and feel like a star for an evening! You will hear from one of our adoptive families and our executive director. In addition, you can purchase tickets for the wine pull itself, 50/50 raffle, and Stock the Bar raffle. There will also be a silent and a live auction. Don’t miss out on the fun and the opportunity to support a great mission! There are over 3,000 children in Ohio’s foster care system that have no one to be reunited with and they are legally available for adoption. Portage Faith Church Holds Annual Bazaar

The ladies at Portage Faith United Methodist Church at 9922 State Route 44, Mantua, are pleased to invite you to their Annual Bazaar & Country Store on Saturday, Nov 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  In addition to a wide selection of fresh homemade soups, please come check out our crafts, jewelry, wood products, baked and canned goods, and so much more.  Admission is FREE.  A continental breakfast and light lunch will also be available.

5th Annual Financial Wellness Fair

St. Anselm Christmas Boutique will be held on Saturday, November 13, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; St. Anselm School, 13013 Chillicothe Rd. (Rt. 306, just south of Rt. 322), Chesterland. There will be over 70 vendors with all kinds of great items to choose from. There will also be a snack bar and prize raffle with many great prizes. Admission is $1. The 2021 Mantua Knights of Columbus Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The reservation line will open on November 1st.
