That’s what I am on right now. Off into the wilds of automotive jungle critters like sales reps and money dudes. It has been eleven years since I worried about buying a new car (my last little Fit was a ‘15)–the first one was totaled too(What does this say about my driving skills ?)but that one was hit by a cement truck.

Anyhoo, gotta get new wheels, now that I can actually turn my neck so as to be able to see anything not precisely on the center line. Not being able to get out and get going for six weeks has been just making me nuts. Need toothpaste? Need to return library books? Out of milk? All of that sort of stuff was just out of reach with no car to drive. Pedalling my muscular tricycle around town was not really much of an alternative since the required helmet didn’t fit real well over the cervical collar. Interferes with keeping an eye on traffic too.

So, anyway, I am looking for a new car. The vast number of choices is daunting, to say the least. What I really want is something that I can see in the parking lot. Whoever makes a bright paint job is getting a second look, that’s for sure. Everything else seems to be pretty standard across the board. I want to feel comfortable in the seat, have plenty of room under the hatchback, be able to understand the lights and gadgets…and directions; is that too much to ask? Apparently, what I want is for somebody to read my mind, put together an attractive package–at a great price–then say, “ Here you go, lady. Drive it away.”

Fat Chance!

More on this search later. Will keep you posted on the dangers spotted. Not like any of the commercial showing cars roaring through forest, deserts, freeways, etc.–I can get into trouble on a straightaway here at home…hence the accident in the first place, ya know.
