The Portage County Senior Center is again participating in Acme’s “Community Cash Back” program. The program runs from August 6th-December 26th, and you can either mail your receipts or drop them off. The Portage County Senior Center is located at 705 Oakwood St. (Floor G) in Ravenna. Senior Center will be open for Breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will Be COVID compliant so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Yoga in the Park

Join us for Yoga in the Park on Saturday mornings at 8 am. Open to YMCA- members, silver sneakers, and non members welcomed (non members $5.00 drop in fee). Held at the Garrettsville Village Park (by the library) at the pavilion. Weather permitting! Program will run until the weather turns ugly.

Apple Tree Preschool Registration Extended
It’s not too late! Apple Tree Preschool has pushed back the start date to October and there are a couple spots open. Mystery Makers

Kids grade K-5, use your creativity to make a unique work of art, but with one catch: the project is a mystery. Join us on Sept 15, 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Google Meet. Register each month to receive a DIY mystery craft kit. You will receive an invite to Google Meet where we’ll give a demonstration of how to make the craft and answer questions you have. Interactive Virtual Storytime

Join us for an interactive storytime on Google Meet from 10:30am to 11:00am, with stories, songs, flannelboard stories, fingerplays and a craft that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children. Children will be able to see, hear and participate in storytime, all from the convenience of home. Register to receive the link to Google Meet and the storytime kit. Maple Grove Cemetery Tours

Tour the cemetery grounds from 2:00pm to 3:00pm and learn about some early and notable burials. Reed Memorial Library, in partnership with the Portage County Historical Society and Museum, will host walking tours through Maple Grove Cemetery. This tour is for groups of 10 or less; face masks and social distancing required. The same tour will be repeated throughout the week to accommodate more people. You must register to attend a tour. This tour is weather dependent. Please dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes.
