Art’s Alive is an evening out celebrating the handmade work of more than 80 regional artisans from all mediums. All three floors of the arts and culture center will be filled with art, food and music. The live musical entertainment will begin upon the opening of the doors until the show closes at 10 p.m. and features Shenango Valley musicians, including Rick Bruckner James Willaman, John Sailor, Mike Cummings and Brandon Vuich, and Robert Malaniak of Pipe Dreams.
Area food vendors like Quaker Steak & Lube – Sharon, PA, Tiffany’s Banquet Hall, The Corinthian Banquet Hall and Event Center and Donna’s Diner will offer up delicious culinary fun, including samples of their menu options. There will be a cash bar on site for cocktails, plus local wine from Nova Cellars Winery and brews from Brewtus Brewers on the third floor. $5 entry at the door supports the arts & culture center.
“Art’s Alive focuses on all the local fine art talent we have based right here in our area. It’s a fun, fine arts party. And as a non profit art based business in downtown Sharon, I will continue to do whatever it takes to see the arts and culture center and other new art driven start ups succeed,” said Alane Jewel, Art’s Alive event planner and artist. “The more people we can help get downtown, and through their doors to see the beautiful buildings restored and appreciate variety of the performance, musical and fine art experiences they are offering… the better off we all are as working artists in this town.”
