It’s a Win-Win in Mantua!

Mantua – The good folks at Hero’s Rock, self-less builders of wooden tribute rockers and treasure chests for the families of fallen heroes, are in need of support from other selfless individuals like you. You may remember that Mantua residents Scott and Trish Snyder, Hero’s Rock organizers, were scheduled to depart soon on a road trip that would allow them to deliver hand-made items to three worthy families on the west coast. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of their control, a key sponsor was unable to provide the remaining donation needed to fully fund the trip. Completely committed to their goal of showing the families of fallen heroes that people across the country value the service and sacrifice of their loved ones, Scott and Trish came up with an unusual way to make the deliveries as promised. They’re giving you the chance to bring home a fire dragon!

“Help Hero’s Rock deliver this year’s tribute rockers and possibly win Jareth, the King of Fire Dragons!” Trish exclaimed. She shared that every $5.00 donation earns one entry into the contest to win this special dragon rocking horse. This piece is a one of a kind, functioning work of art, with its vibrant paint red, orange and yellow paint scheme — treated with an underlayment of pearl to give the illusion of breath when he rocks. The dragon’s sturdy body is built to hold 200 pounds, and has been ridden by former Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs and Channel three sports anchor Jim Donovan.

Hero’s Rock will be selling only 1,000 tickets, so get yours today! Do so by visiting their gofundme page (link is available on their Facebook page, www.herosrock.us by mail (Hero’s Rock, PO Box 224, Mantua, Ohio 44255), or in person at the J. Leonard Gallery just outside Garrettsville on Route 88.
The funds raised will help pay for the trip to Draper City, Utah, San Diego and Santa Rosa to deliver this year’s tributes; treasured chest for Battalion Chief Matthew Burchett’s son, treasured chest for Air Force Major Adrianna Vorderbruggen’s son and 2 CalFire helicopters for the daughters of Fire Apparatus Engineer Cory Iverson.

Hero’s Rock has never failed to deliver on a promise with 42 tributes across 17,000 miles made in the last seven years. “Your donation will fund the over 6,000-mile journey to present these special gifts to the families of these amazing people,” Trish shared. “As soon as we raise the funds, we’ll hit the road!” The drawing will be held as soon as $1,000 has been raised. “Help Hero’s Rock keep their promise and deliver this year’s tributes and have a chance to win Jareth!” beamed Trish. “Thank you for your continued support,” added Scott. “You keep us ROCK’N!”
