On Monday, May 11, 2026 Louise Grace Masters, of Nelson Township, a loving wife, Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to many, passed away at the age of 81, and is now celebrating her eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and also is reunited with her loving husband of 60 & 1/2 years, George E. Masters, and firstborn son, Brian G. Masters who preceded her in death. Louise was born on February 24, 1945 in Middlefield, Ohio, to the late Lloyd R. White and Marian E. (Leninger) White. She was a loving and dedicated mother to four children, Brian Masters, Annette Masters, Amber Master/Buchwalter, and Audra Masters/Petrony. She was also a grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great grandmother to five, beautiful, great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She served as a member and passionate pianist at Faith Evangelical Free church in Nelson Ohio for over 40 years. She also served in the church in the cradle roll taking care of the babies and as the financial secretary for many years. She was always eager to help in anyway that she could for her church, friends, and family. For the many that knew her, knew that her love and passion for Faith/God/family had no bounds as she was dedicated to God and her family first and foremost!
It was always an adventure waiting to happen when you were in her presence. There weren’t too many things that she wouldn’t try. She had a zest for life and loved to laugh and make the best out of any situation. One of her amazing gifts was baking and she had perfected the art of making pecan toffee cookies in the most perfect fashion that it was almost a sin to eat them, as they were so pretty. She was also known as the baby and animal whisperer. With her kind gentle touch , she could relax and put a fussy baby to sleep in seconds. She also had the gift of relaxing all animals, dogs, cats, horses-even wild deer into a calm demeanor. Her love for the outdoors was also a huge passion of hers, between the blackberry picking for hours , flower planting, ”cleaning the woods”, and feeding of the birds, it was hard to get her back inside the house. Her feisty, fun loving, caring, and thoughtful spirit left a mark on anybody that was blessed to have met her . To say that she will be missed is an understatement. Her family and friends will cherish all the fun memories and lifetime of love that she gave unconditionally. “ Until we meet again!”
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Any donations can be sent to Faith Evangelical Free Church in Nelson Ohio or the Geauga County Animal Protective League.
