Garrettsville Summerfest is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary June 26-28, with the support of its main sponsor, Sarchione Chevy of Garrettsville, as the community comes together for a weekend of live music, family-friendly entertainment, great food, and hometown pride. This year’s theme, “Small Town, Big Sound,” captures the spirit of a festival that continues to bring outstanding entertainment and community celebration to the heart of Garrettsville.

The festival will commence with the recognition of longtime football coach Mike Moser as the 2026 Summerfest Grand Marshal. Moser’s years of dedication to local athletics, mentorship, and community involvement have made him a respected figure throughout the area. Festival organizers are proud to honor his contributions as he helps kick off a weekend celebrating the people who make Garrettsville a special place to call home.

Known for delivering exceptional entertainment in a welcoming small-town atmosphere, Summerfest #20 continues its tradition of bringing together residents and visitors for a weekend packed with fun, music, food, and community spirit. This year’s milestone celebration showcases a diverse lineup that proves a small town can deliver a big sound.

“Twenty years ago, Summerfest began as a community celebration, and today it remains one of the region’s favorite summer traditions,” said organizers. “We’re proud to offer exceptional live music and activities while maintaining the friendly, hometown atmosphere that makes Garrettsville special.”

Festival organizers are especially excited to showcase this year’s main stage performances at the Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce’s new Buckeye Block Amphitheater. Sponsored by Daystar Ford, the new venue provides an enhanced concert experience for attendees and serves as a centerpiece for the festival’s live entertainment.

“The amphitheater gives Summerfest a whole new look,” said organizer Aaron King. “We’ve repositioned some of the rides and vendors to improve sightlines to the stage, creating a better experience for festivalgoers while maintaining all of the attractions people have come to expect.”

The addition of the chamber’s Buckeye Block Amphitheater reflects the festival’s commitment to this year’s theme, “Small Town, Big Sound,” while creating a gathering place that will benefit the community for years to come.

Saturday evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display sponsored by Sarchione Chevy of Garrettsville. The show promises to light up the night sky and provide a memorable highlight of Summerfest #20, giving residents and visitors alike an opportunity to gather and celebrate two decades of one of the area’s favorite summer traditions.

Sunday will feature Ellerhorst-Russell Insurance Kids Day, offering a full afternoon of family-friendly entertainment following the Grand Parade at 12:30 p.m. Led by Grand Marshal Mike Moser, the parade will be followed by appearances and performances from Jungle Terry, Flowers the Clown, and a Princess and Superhero Show, making Sunday a highlight for families attending the festival.

The celebration will conclude Sunday evening with the annual Summerfest Talent Show, a longtime favorite that showcases the talents of local performers from throughout the community. The event will be hosted by emcee Lil’ John Rinaldi and Garrettsville Mayor Rick Patrick, providing a fitting finale to a weekend celebrating the people, spirit, and creativity that make Garrettsville unique.

As Summerfest continues to grow, the committee has been working diligently to fund a comprehensive electrical system upgrade designed to enhance safety and improve the festival experience for attendees, vendors, and entertainers. Proceeds from the Summerfest Gun Raffle and the festival’s popular 50/50 drawing will help support this important infrastructure investment.

Organizers encourage community members, businesses, and supporters to help make this project possible. Donations can be made, and raffle tickets purchased, by visiting www.garrettsvillesummerfest.com. Community support plays a vital role in ensuring that Garrettsville Summerfest can continue providing safe, high-quality entertainment for generations to come.

As Garrettsville Summerfest celebrates its 20th year, organizers invite everyone to experience a weekend filled with live music, family fun, community pride, and memories that will last long after the final performance ends. It’s the perfect example of what happens when a Small Town delivers a Big Sound.
