Don’t miss the 2026 James A. Garfield Historical Society’s Christmas Walk, where you’ll have the opportunity to tour three lovely and highly decorated historic homes along with a fourth local historic landmark.
Tour stops include the ‘Winter Wonderland Wedding’ themed space at Bella Dawn Event Venue in Nelson Township. The 1825 timber frame landmark, which was originally built as a Congregational Church, also served as a school gym and general store over the previous two centuries. It has been wonderfully restored and will be decked out in Christmas finery for the Christmas Walk.
Tour stop number two, titled ‘Manor on the Green’ is located in the back loop on Garfield Drive. The third stop, located in the historic Elijah Garrett home on Liberty Street is ‘Music of Christmas’ themed, while the fourth stop, entitled ‘Sounds of the Season’ is located on Fox Den Circle. Exact addresses will be provided with ticket purchase.
Tickets for the November 5th opening Candlelight tour from 5 – 8 pm cost $30 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets for daytime weekend tours, which run on November 6, 7, 8 and November 13, 14, 15, are available for $20, and can be purchased at Mott Building on Main Street. Daytime tours run 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 12:30-5:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Each day of the Christmas Walk, you’ll also be able to start your holiday shopping early at the Craft Show at Garrettsville Village Hall. In addition, homemade lunches and refreshments will again be available at Garrettsville United Methodist Church, which will also be decorated for the season. Tickets for this year’s quilt, lovingly stitched by the Village Piecemakers in the ‘shooting star’ pattern, will be available at Bella Dawn, where the quilt will be on display every day of Christmas Walk.
Please note that a limited number of tickets are available for the special Candlelight Night on Thursday, November 5th, so call 330-842-2822 or email garrettsvillehistory@gmail.com to secure your spot for this unique holiday experience.
