Muralist Dean Olson and Patty Wilson were present at the September 21, 2026 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary giving a progress report on the Welcome to Garrettsville mural on the bridge abutment on Windham Street. Work is going well, given the challenges which weather has presented during the project. The club is being asked to make a practical contribution by cutting out the stencils needed to finish the lettering and logo to be painted. Some assistance may be requested of high school art students. It’ll be “a cut above.”
Tickets for the Reverse Raffle will be available this week…get ‘em while they’re hot! The Dictionary Project will be coming up soon. Notice was given about he Beer & Wine Fest in Hiram on September 27, where information about G-HR activities and lockboxes will be available to all. A district Rotary project for tree planting will be taking root locally with the planting of two Ohio Buckeye trees on property of the James A. Garfield Local School District; this will likely be a meeting project coming up soon. Mantua Rotary has an event–a paint party– coming up on October 15
Happy Bucks came in for JAG kicker, Hannah Timmons point # 100, a grandaughter in basic training, babies, babies, babies, and “just becuz”.
