Looking for a relaxed summer evening the whole family can enjoy? Pack a picnic and head to Frohring Meadows from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 13, for Monday FUN-Day: Big Games in the Park, a free community gathering celebrating July’s America 250-Ohio theme, Ohio Gathers!
Geauga Park District will provide giant versions of favorite games, including Jenga, four-in-a-row, yard dice, dominoes, chess, checkers, cornhole and even a makeshift mini-golf course. Children and the young at heart can also burn off some energy discovering the popular Pollinator Play Garden nearby.
Bring a picnic blanket and dinner to make an evening of it! Some tables should be available inside Katydid Lodge, as well as at two nearby shelters, providing plenty of space to eat and relax between games.
Plan to explore Frohring Meadows, too, on any combination of 3.5 miles of scenic trail, traveling through a spectacular 100-acre prairie and the surrounding woodlands.
No registration is required for this free program. Simply stop by, join a game, enjoy the company of family and friends, and celebrate the joy of gathering together in Ohio’s Great Outdoors.
