William “Bill” Reynolds Kitelinger, 96, of Windham Township, Ohio, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1929, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to the late William and Lydia (Reynolds) Kitelinger.

On December 9, 1950, Bill married the love of his life, Shirley, with whom he shared 74 wonderful years until her passing earlier this year. Together they built a life filled with family, faith, and adventure.

Bill’s early years were marked by resilience—he attended seven different schools by the third grade as his family moved between Plumer, Walnut Bend, and other towns in Pennsylvania before eventually settling in Ohio. Over the years, he lived in Newton Falls and Windham, where he became a beloved member of the community. A hardworking man, Bill began his career as a truck driver at the Ravenna Arsenal and later worked as a machinist. Never one to shy away from learning, he taught himself the skills of an electrician, earned his certification, and retired from electrical maintenance at Ben Venue Laboratories in Bedford, Ohio. Known as the neighborhood repairman, Bill was always ready to lend a hand—whether fixing wiring, plumbing, or simply being a good friend. Bill’s interests were as wide-ranging as his talents. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Christian Motorcycle Club, and he fulfilled a dream by purchasing and learning to pilot a Cessna airplane—often delighting neighborhood children with rides. Later, his love of travel led him and Shirley across the country in their Airstream travel trailer, visiting national parks from New England to the West. In retirement, they spent winters in Arizona and Florida, cherishing the warmth and fellowship they found there.

Bill will be deeply missed by his daughter, Diana (George) Skinner; grandsons, Daniel (Raven) Skinner and Timothy (Kristina) Skinner; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Hunter, and Emelia, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley, his parents, and all of his sisters, Arlene, Mildred, Jean, Ardelle, and Helen, and his only brother, James.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service followed on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with interment at Windham Township Cemetery, where Bill will be laid to rest beside his cherished wife, Shirley, with whom he shared 74 years of love and devotion, reunited in eternal peace with their Lord and Savior.
