Jeffery “Todd” Phillips, 58, of Windham Twp., Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 19th, 2025. He was born May 19th, 1967, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Clarence “Ray” and Phyllis (nee Holley) Phillips.
He was a proud graduate of Windham High School and Maplewood Career Center where he studied electrical trades. Todd worked at Hexpol Compounding in Burton, Ohio for 34 years as an electrician and control programmer. He was an Eagle Scout and volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts of America organization in various roles. Todd believed in giving back rather than taking; because of this belief, he chaired the Windham Zoning Board of Appeals and volunteered time with the People Tree and local food cupboard. Todd paid attention to others; if he knew someone was in need, mysteriously the money or items needed appeared. However, he never let on it was by his doing. Todd preferred to remain anonymous and thank his Lord and Savior for blessing him in a way that he could bless others. When Todd wasn’t working, you would almost always find him with his wife, Becky. They took their first cruise together to Alaska in June of 2023. He liked it so much they took another cruise to Bermuda this past July. Todd loved vegetable gardening; he canned what he grew and shared his knowledge of canning with several people. It made Todd happy knowing he had helped someone to be more self-reliant. He took up beekeeping 3 years ago and found great pleasure in visiting “the girls” in the bee yard. Todd had a talent for fixing things and enjoyed being given any mower, weed whip or generator that wasn’t working. He always got them running again, back to their owner and never accepted any compensation for his work.
Todd will forever be missed by his loving wife, Rebeccas “Becky” (nee Ziska) Phillips, with whom he was blessed to share 7 short, loved-filled years of marriage; children, Nicholas (Alissa), Nathan; stepsons, Sam (Angie) Russell and Isaac (Kassidy) Russell; grandchildren, Henry and Lainey; as well as other extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a son, Brenton.
