1845

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend as Garrettsville Summerfest returns to the heart of downtown June 27–29, bringing with it a full lineup of world-class entertainment, contests, live music, and family fun! Whether you’re in it for the food, the music, the fireworks—or just the hometown vibe—there’s something for everyone at this beloved annual event.

The festival officially kicks off Friday at 6:30 p.m. with the Grand Marshal presentation honoring Fox 8’s Lil’ John Rinaldi, a long-time supporter and fan favorite at Summerfest. His larger-than-life personality has been a staple of the festival for years, and this tribute marks his lasting impact on the Garrettsville community.

Two stages will keep the music flowing all weekend long. Friday night’s main stage act, The Huckin’ Fillbillys, promises a high-energy rock ‘n roll show to get the weekend started right. On Saturday night, don’t miss In The Heartland, celebrating the iconic music of Ohio legend Michael Stanley—a must-see performance for fans near and far.

Families will find plenty to smile about too. On Saturday, Flowers the Clown will bring balloon art magic to the midway from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoon features a Kid’s Interactive Circus on the Main Stage from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Looking for a bit of competition? Summerfest’s contests are legendary! Join the fun in the cornhole tournament, hamburger eating contest, ice cream eating contest, hot wing eating contest, or take your chances in the rubber duck races. There’s no shortage of ways to show off your skills and win bragging rights!

As the sun sets Saturday, the skies will light up with a dazzling fireworks display at 10 p.m., sponsored by Sarchione Chevy of Garrettsville—a spectacular way to end the night.

Be sure to find your spot on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for the Grand Parade, one of the festival’s highlights, making its way from JA Garfield Schools campus down SR 88, past the festival Main Stage, ending Garfield Plaza.

The festival wraps up Sunday night with the crowd-pleasing Garrettsville’s Got Talent showcase at 7 p.m. on the Main Stage, featuring local acts ready to shine.

And don’t forget to grab your Summerfest Raffle tickets  at the information booth for a chance to win amazing prizes. This year’s grand prize is a MadJax Golf Cart, second prize is a Bonner Farms Summer Grilling Package valued over $500, and third prize is a year’s worth of free pizza from Garrettsville’s Domino’s!
