Harold G. Metheny, Jr., 87, of Windham, OH, went home to his Lord and Savior Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was born January 12, 1938, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Harold and Margaret “Ellie” (nee Fosbrink) Metheny, Sr.
He was raised in Uniontown, PA, and moved with his wife and family to Ohio around 1965. Harold worked as a machinist, retiring after many years from Joy Manufacturing in Solon, OH. He enjoyed trains and model airplanes and was a member of the Skyhawks R/C Club of Warren, but most of all, Harold enjoyed spending time with his family.
Harold will forever be missed by his daughters, Susan (Richard) Jajcinovic, Melissa (Kenneth) Chenoweth, Kimberly (Eric) Cooper; grandchildren, Joshua (Cristie) Chenoweth, Mathew (Alexandra) Cooper, Michael Jajcinovic, Nicolas (Kaylie) Cooper; 10 great grandchildren, with one on the way; sisters, Bertha (Aurelio) Cecchini and Roberta Metheny, as well as several nieces, a nephew, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; dear wife, Shirley (nee Wilson) Metheny, and beloved grandson, Justin Chenoweth.
Please join the family for a visitation Thursday, May 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Harold will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, next to his loving wife, Shirley.
