Mantua Rotary holds “Merry Christmas” Tree Auction

63

Rotary Club of Mantua is again sponsoring a Merry Christmas Tree Silent Auction in Mantua Village.  Twenty three feet tall table top trees are being decorated by local businesses and will be auctioned off via a silent auction in early December. Most of the 20 trees will be on display at Crooked River Flowers, Gifts, and More on Main Street in Mantua Village, but a couple will be on display in individual shops.

Bids on the trees will begin at $25 and overbids can be made with a minimum bid of $5.00. Trees will go on display on November 30, just in time for Santa’s arrival in the Village and for the Merry Evening in Mantua event. Bidding will end on December 13.  Rotary thanks the merchants for their donation of ornaments and time.  A People’s Choice award will be made for the tree that receives the highest bid and a second award will be made for the tree that best represents the business that decorated it.

Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be used by Mantua Rotary to fund service projects that benefit the Crestwood School Community.
