Cool temps & bright skies for the November 13, 2023 meeting of the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Club; good thing it was indoors at Cal’s II, Sky Plaza, Garrettsville.
Plenty o’ business on tap. There was an abbreviated wrap-up of the very successful Reverse Raffle, with the presentation of the catering bill and possible gratuity suggestions. Additionally, there were thoughts on assisting local supporters by scheduling next year’s fund-raising events.
The Dictionary Project is scheduled for December 15 at Garfield Elementary and the Windham event may be on the same date.
The Time Capsule Event, set for July 6, 2024, is seeking information from Rotary and other local community groups for inclusion in the next time capsule (Rotary has been around since 1926) for the next 100 years.
Santa has signed on for the annual Christmas Eve eve gift delivery; so has an elf. The club Christmas party is to be on December 18.
Happy Bucks came in for the successful end of a craft show, an accepted kitty-cat, upcoming family time for Christmas, a return from vacation and outstanding sports moments across-the-board–Garfield, Browns, Buckeyes!
