Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary Report

252

Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary was hard at work once again at Cal’s II, Sky Plaza, Garrettsville on Monday, September 19, 2022, with these items on their collective plates :

The Reverse Raffle is proceeding apace, with tickets available after settling a sizing snafu, the menu is approved for the buffet, baskets being solicited, further meetings being held. All systems are GO!

Donations to Rotary International enable the club to select a Paul Harris Fellow; possibilities are being considered. Should the club consider having a fund-raiser to benefit the Baptist Cemetery project? The walking loop around the South Street/ Bill Phelps Park is taking shape, with members and a contractor walking the projected location to get a “lay of the land” before firm commitment. Delores McCumbers read a letter of thanks outlining the uses to which any donation to the Rotary International Fund may be put. This fund ranks very high among national and international organizations for the good works which it does and the people whom it serves. The Village of Garrettsville, in 2024, will celebrate two hundred twenty years since its founding in 1804 with the opening of the time capsule on High Street contained in the monument there. Any celebration planned? The Rotary Club of Garrettsville-Hiram will turn one hundred in 2026.
It’s all good.
