The last official meeting for Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary President John Crawford was an upbeat review of two excellent years of projects and activities documented by a pictorial collage of members and the InterAct workers from James A. Garfield High School as well as a letter of thanks from scholarship recipient Phillip West.
On the horizon for incoming President Debra Blake are a number of prospects, including the Dictionary Project for third graders; school information is needed from Garfield Elementary and from local Amish schools before purchases are made. Costco shopping for the Snack Pack Project is ongoing…and fun (Grant funding for this project has been restored to 100%).
Qualifying questions for the A.Z. Baker Recognition have been revised.. Member recruiting continues. Thoughts on new projects include : a walking trail around the South Street Park, expansion of possibilities for Zoom meetings, a letter directed to prospective sponsors and how to remodel the Reverse Raffle as a revenue stream, possible new projects.
Happy Bucks were anted up in observance of a vastly successful celebration for a 90th birthday, the return of Restaurant Impossible, earrings marking an anniversary and two good years…in Rotary and out.
It’s all good.
