Garrettsville – Many of us are getting ready for winter to arrive in Ohio, however the Garrettsville Summerfest Committee has been busy planning for next year’s summer event. The committee will travel to Sandusky this weekend for workshops, meetings, seminars and to look at entertainment options for the Summerfest 2020 event.
2020 will mark the 16th year for Garrettsville Summerfest and it is going to be another weekend party to remember. If you anticipate this event and just can’t wait for it, well, I have some news for you. You will not have to wait as long this year for Garrettsville Summerfest to return as in the past years.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the Garrettsville Summerfest Committee will change the date for the 2020 festival. In the past, it has been held on the fourth full weekend of June and in its early years, it was held on Father’s Day weekend. After polling the committee and discussing the pros and cons of a date change, the committee decided that Garrettsville Summerfest 2020 will be held June 12th – 14th.
Everything else will be the same. Opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30pm Friday night. Fireworks will still be on Saturday night, great music and entertainment will continue all weekend long!!
This date change is anticipated to be a one-time event with Summerfest 2021 moving back to the regular fourth weekend in June.
So, mark your calendars for June 12-14, 2020 and plan to attend the 16th Annual Garrrettsville Summerfest — one of the biggest festivals in northeast Ohio.
