Get the know-how to become a bluebird landlord this summer

1737

Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day by learning all about Eastern Bluebirds by taking a leisurely walk around scenic Frohring Meadows with longtime Field Naturalist Tami Gingrich.

All are invited to join Tami for Bluebird Patrol on Sunday, May 20, 1 to 2 p.m. as she monitors bluebird boxes, observes different nests and eggs, and shares clues about how to attract and identify different cavity-nesting bird species that use nest boxes. If the opportunity presents itself, Tami will also band nestlings for scientific research – a rare opportunity to view a new generation of blue beauties up close!

Registration is not required to come along for this fully wheelchair/stroller accessible walk, among those the Naturalist Department deems Nature’s Not to Be Missed. Bring a camera and binoculars if you have them! Frohring Meadows is located at 16780 Savage Road in Bainbridge Township. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
