Hiram – The Hiram Community Chorus has begun work on their upcoming Concert—The Spring Sing. Rehearsals are Tuesday nights at 7:30 in the Recital Hall of Frohring Music Hall in Hiram. Accompanist is Patricia Amor of Garrettsville and Damaris Peters Pike of Hiram is Director.
The program will begin with a Baroque favorite in a 21st century arrangement: the famous Pachelbel Canon.Next will come a spoof of the Baroque Era and one of the masters of the period, J. S. Bach. It’s called “Go for Baroque” and is great fun.
Then the Chorus will pay tribute to great composers for Broadway, including Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma,” and Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America.” This delightful program will be held Tuesday, May 15, at 7:30 in the Frohring Music Recital Hall. The public is welcome at no charge.
