Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

MS Support Group 

1st Tues of Month

If you or a loved one are living with Multiple Sclerosis, join our supportive and welcoming MS Support Group in Cortland, OH. We meet in person on the first Tuesday of every month at the Cortland Library to share experiences, offer encouragement, and connect with others who truly understand the journey. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing MS for years, this group provides a safe space for conversation, resources, and community. Light refreshments will be provided.  Our first meeting is Tuesday April 7, 2026, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at:

Young At Heart Meetings

3rd Tues of Month

Young at Heart  organization for 55 and older, meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Immaculate Conception Parish Hall.  We gather for meals, meeting and fellowship.  All denominations are welcome.  To attend or for more information call Jackie 330-569-4048.

Al Anon Meetings

What can you do when someone close to you drinks too much? Al Anon may be able to help. We meet Tuesdays 7:30 -8:30 pm at the Renaissance Center 9005 Wilverne in Windham or Wednesday 7-8 pm at Hilltop Christian Church, 4572 Prospect in Mantua. Meetings are completely confidential.

Loaves and Fishes Community Meal

A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram and surrounding areas.  Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is invited.  The meal is from 5 – 6:30pm, the last Thursday of the month, January through October, at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township.  We hope to see you for good food and conversation.

Mantua Historical Society Open

The Mantua Historical Society is now open on Thursday mornings from 10am to 12noon for our weekly history club meetings. At these meetings, we learn about local history, preserve it, plan events, and coordinate efforts with other community organizations. We are always looking for volunteers to join us. The Mantua Historical Society is located upstairs (not handicap accessible) in the Mantua Township Hall, 4122 State Route 82, Mantua, OH 44255. Garrettsville Pack 62 Sells Syrup

At this year’s Summerfest in Garrettsville be sure to stop by and see the Garrettsville Cub Scouts from Pack 4062 at the Mason’s booth at 8110 Main Street. Right in the middle of downtown!  The Cub Scouts will be selling locally made syrup for all of your big breakfast needs! While you are buying your syrup from some cool Cub Scouts, stay hydrated by getting a bottle of water from the Masons for only $1! Proceeds from the water sales will be donated to the Garrettsville Nelson Community Cupboard.

MSFD Open House

June 27

The Mantua-Shalersville FD will hold an open house at the fire station to celebrate the department’s 125th anniversary on June 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The station is located at 10303 SR 44 just south of Mantua Village. There will be the normal open house activities but the star of the show will be an operating 1887 Amoskeag 700 GPM steam pumper, operated by longtime WRFB member Ted Elder. Please join us and help us celebrate this milestone event.

The Mantua Restoration Society (MaRSI) is holding their 2nd Friday Dinner, from 4 -7pm, on July 10, 2026. If you like homemade food, dinner music, and good company, this is the place to spend your evening. This month’s dinner features mouthwatering entrees, cool salads, and delicious desserts. The Mantua Restoration Society is not permitted to charge a set amount and cannot mention what similar food might cost in a restaurant. Donations are graciously accepted. Dining in or carryout is available. The dinner is being held at the Mantua Center School Annex located at 11741 Mantua Center Road, Mantua Township. Come join us!
