Ravenna Balloon A-Fair is calling all bands and entertainment. The Ravenna Balloon A-Fair is looking for Entertainment for our 42nd annual festival. We are looking for entertainment to perform on the courthouse lawn, Children’s Alley, and, of course, one of our many stages on Main Street in Ravenna and the main stage out at Sun Beau. Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Wing Night at the Eagles Club

Drum Movement Class
Wednesdays
The Portage County Senior Center has begun a new “Drum” movement class to foster simple movements and stretches, all the while having lots of fun to music. Senior friends currently join together on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 for a simple 25 minute session that can be done sitting or standing. As attendance increases, a potential Monday or other days will be added. For more information on this or other programming, they can be reached at 330-297-3456. They are located at 705 Oakwood St. (Floor G) in Ravenna and are open to all Portage County seniors aged 60 and up.

Lions Club Sausage Trailer

The Windham Lions Club will be holding their sausage trailer on Friday, June 4th from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday, June 5th, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the old Sparkle parking lot. Come on out and support your local Lions Club and enjoy a delicious sandwich.

Sunday Oldies Jukebox Membership Drive
June 6-13
It’s that time again. The Sunday Oldies Jukebox is having its once a year Membership Drive – June 6 thru June 13, 2021. The advantage to becoming a supporting member is access to contests awarding free tickets to great Oldies concerts as well as restaurants and gifts offered by local supporting organizations. We receive no monetary funding from outside organizations. Our operating expenses go towards the broadcasting tower rental and station operations. The Sunday Oldies Jukebox started in 1997 and is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-commercial radio station playing songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s on FM 88.9. Freedom Historical Society Meeting
June 8
The Freedom Township Historical Society will have a business meeting and officer election at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at the Freedom Center Pavilion, 8966 S.R. 700. All members are invited to come and participate, and anyone in the community can come to learn about our society. All outdoor social-distancing guidelines will be followed.

Job Fair In Middlefield

Job Fair free to all job seekers, Saturday, June 12th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the gym of the Cardinal Middle School, 16175 Almeda Dr. Middlefield 44062. Bring your resume because up to 30 local employers will be onsite to discuss employement opportunities. Food will be for sale from the East Geauga Kiwanis Club in the Cafetorium and from Swiss Cheese on a Stick booth. Free Strawberry Fest
June 12
A Strawberry Fest will be held on Saturday June 12, 1-3 pm at the corner of Main and Center Streets in downtown Garrettsville. FREE strawberry ice cream sundaes, FREE strawberry shortcake. There will be chocolate/white dipped strawberries. FREE carnival games for kids with prizes! Hosted by The Fountain Family Center. *The event is free to the public, however donations will be appreciated.

Shalersville Historical Society Yard Sale

PCRP Educational Dinners

As Senator Rob Portman has announced he will not seek re-election to the U.S. Senate, Josh Mandel and Mike Gibbons have announced their candidacy for the 2022 Republican Primary Election. PCRP is proud to host the two candidates for two educational dinners! Dinners will take place for Mike Gibbons on June 17th & Josh Mandel on June 18th
at the Kent American Legion (1945 Mogadore Rd, Kent, OH 44240). Candidate Meet and Greet will begin at 6:30pm with dinner at 7pm. Tickets are $40 for one night or $70 for both nights. Tickets are available at portagegop.com or may be purchased at the door. Dinner is included with each ticket

Chardon Polka Band Service, Concert & Picnic

Come enjoy the Chardon Polka Band as they lead a polka-filled worship service at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road, Chardon on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. Following the worship service, the Chardon Polka Band will present a free, two hour concert at the church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Members of the congregation will provide a picnic lunch for those in attendance. If you plan on attending the worship service and/or the concert, please bring a lawn chair. And bring the kids for this family-friendly event! A free-will offering will be taken to benefit Hope for Kids Geauga, a non-profit helping children in need. Event will be held rain or shine.

Hiram’s 4th of July Festivities

The Hiram Firefighters Association will be hosting Hiram’s annual 4th of July festivities on Friday, July 2nd. There will be a Bike Rodeo, Parade, and Fireworks.
