Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

Overeaters Anonymous (a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviors) meets in person every Monday, except legal holidays, at 10:00AM in the parlor of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 256 Mahoning Av NW, Warren, OH 44483. Please enter through the “Fellowship Hall” entrance on driveway. We look forward to meeting you! 

Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Mondays

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian waffles. Lunches are served T-TH from 11a-1p only $5-plate includes homemade soup or salad, entrée, dessert and beverage. Menu for the week is posted on Facebook, or just call 330-889-2733.

Free meal ! The free meal will be back in September, so come join us at the church at 8146 High street on the 1st Tuesday of September. See you then.  Come join us from 5:30-7pm, for food, fun and fellowship.

BINGO! At St. Ambrose

Come to St. Ambrose for Bingo, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 5:45pm and Early Bird starts at 6:45. Players must be 18 or over. Reasonably priced concessions. St. Ambrose is located at 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville. Check out our Facebook page for additional information.

Young At Heart Meetings

Loaves and Fishes Community Meal

A free meal is open to all residents in Mantua, Garrettsville, Hiram, and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars, or enjoys a homemade meal, is cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. The meal is from 5 – 6:30pm, the Last Thursday of each month January through October at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 State Route 82 in Mantua Township.  

Mantua Farmers Market

Through – Sept 23

The Mantua Farmers Market will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 10827 North Main Street, Mantua, having begun July 15. The hours are 9 am to 1 pm. The Market runs through September 23. There will be a variety of vendors. Anyone interested in becoming a vendor please call Diane Lottig 330-274-2868. Vendor fees are $5 a market. Stop in and enjoy.

Historical Society Potluck Picnic

James A. Garfield Historical Society is holding their annual potluck picnic at the Garrettsville Village Park Pavilion, on August 21at at 6:00 p.m. Bring a dish to pass and your own tables setting. Hope to see you there!

American Legion of Mantua will collect school supplies at the Crestwood Primary and Intermediate schools on August 24 from 4 to 6 at the open house. We sincerely appreciate all you can do to support our students.

God Provides A Meal

Windham United Methodist church will be having their August God Provides Meal.  It will be on August 25th.  This is a free meal.  The menu will be ham & cheese sandwiches, cole slaw, chips and jello.   Pick up only is from 4 pm to 5 pm at Windham UMC, 9051 N. Main Street, Windham, Ohio 44288.  Meal must be reserved ahead of time.  TO reserve your meal, call 330-697-3288.

Treasure In The Trunk Flea Market

St. Joseph Church in Mantua is hosting a Treasure in the Trunk Flea Market on Saturday, September 2, 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in St. Joe’s parking lot. The lot will be transformed into a lively outdoor market for vendors and buyers to buy or sell anything from handcrafted items to garage sale items and more! Shoppers may stroll around and shop while enjoying a bite to eat from our concessions. Don’t forget the 50/50 raffle! Reserve your spot to sell your items from your vehicle – $25 per reserved spot (2 parking spaces = 1 spot) by August 25th or $35 per spot on the day of the event. Shopper’s Entry Donation is $1 per car or canned good (to benefit 4C’s Food Cupboard). Forms to participate are available online at:  forms.
