United Way of Portage County Plans Campaign Kickoff Event at NEOMED

Rootstown  -Kent State University football coach Sean Lewis, along with the cheerleading team and Flash, will be joined by former Cleveland Crunch star goalie Otto Orf, the Ben Curtis Family Foundation and other athletes will be among the crowd helping the United Way of Portage County kick off its annual campaign at the NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center. The sports and wellness-themed event will feature meet-and-greet opportunities with local athletes and mascots. Games, prizes and food trucks will also be available.

The United Way of Portage County Annual Campaign Kickoff Event will be held at NEOMED Education and Wellness (NEW) Center,  4211 St. Rt. 44, Rootstown on Wed., Oct. 2, from 4 – 6 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Tax-deductible donations will be accepted and will support the residents of Portage County in their fight for their health, education and financial stability.
