October 12, 2026 was a day of commemoration, as the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary took part in a semiquincentennial celebration of Rotary District 6630 by planting trees–an October Glory Maple and an Ohio Buckeye on the JAG campus, one back by the track and one by the Elementary School. The district aims to plant two hundred and fifty trees across northeast Ohio celebrating the founding of our nation in 1776.
These fine, healthy specimens have been planted, staked, mulched, watered and fenced–ready for the next chapter in our nation’s history; admire and protect them for future generations.
Participants in this forestry exercise included Ted Lysiak, Trish Carlson, John Crawford, Jeff Drebus, Sherri Collins and Casey Timmons (who came armed). As a group project, it certainly “hit the spot.”
Reverse Raffle is coming right up. Get your tickets NOW, Plan to be a sponsor/contributor…first Wednesday in November. Be there or be square.
