The Haven of Portage County Hosts Annual Gala Fundraiser to Open Portage County, Ohio Homeless Shelter

1505

Ravenna – On November 2, 2019. The Haven of Portage County will host its annual black-tie gala fundraiser at The NEW Center at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. This year’s theme is the Roaring Twenties and Terry Montz, Innovate Elegance Catering and Design, will transport guests back in time to the era of jazz, fast cars, speakeasies and flappers. One of the premier items in the live auction is a one-off 1920’s roadster converted into a bar. Great food, live entertainment, raffles, auctions; you won’t want to miss this roaring-good time, all to support a worthy cause for Portage County: serving the homeless and vulnerable members of our community.

Doors open at 5 pm for hors d’oeuvres, dinner is at 6 pm and entertainment and live auction begins at 7 pm. Themed or black-tie dress optional. Tickets can be purchased online at portagehaven.org and by calling 330.990.4949. Individual tickets are$150; couples are $250; and a table of six is $700. Some sponsorships are also available, please call Anne Marie Noble at 330.990.4949 for a sponsorship package or for questions.

The Haven of Portage County is a rescue mission and warming center in Portage County that addresses each stage of homelessness and provides holistic healing through the power of the gospel. Renovations on our building on SR 59 between Kent and Ravenna have begun and we hope to open our doors this fall. Our vision is that The Haven of Portage County is a place where the vulnerable can find not only a meal and a bed, but also hope and long-term healing. www.portagehaven.org
