Sugarbush Golf, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Hanisko as its new Manager. Bringing over 30 years of elite golf industry experience, Hanisko will oversee operations, maintenance standards, and strategic growth to ensure the continued success and elevation of the property.
Hanisko joins Sugarbush Golf, Inc. following a successful tenure as the Golf Course Superintendent at Pine Lakes Golf Club of Hubbard, OH, a position he held since 2019. A specialist in the optimization of playing conditions, his career spans more than two decades as a superintendent. Notably, his exceptional agronomic and financial management earned him the prestigious Agronomic Bang for the Buck Award from Billy Casper Golf Management.
“Eric’s extensive background in turf science, combined with a deep understanding of modern golf market trends and a proven track record of fiscal responsibility, makes him the ideal leader for our team,” said, Ana B. Koval, Sugarbush Treasurer and shareholder. “His commitment to maintaining premium course conditions while driving revenue streams will be an incredible asset to our golfers and the community.”
Hanisko holds a degree in Golf Turf Management from Rutgers University’s Cook College and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Kent State University. He holds a current Ohio pesticide license and is an active member of both the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association (NOGCSA). He is also a former PGA Apprentice, bringing a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective of both the sport and the business of golf.
