#ShopSmall – Garrettsville Plans A Fun-Filled Saturday!

2327

It’s the time of year when newspapers thicken with sales circulars and holiday advertisements. Consumers looking to beat the hustle and bustle and steer clear of the crowds this year may want to pay attention to local businesses in lieu of trekking to nearby shopping malls.

On Saturday, November 30th, organizations and merchants in Garrettsville will kick off the holiday season with events, entertainment, bargains galore and family fun.  Local, independently-owned shops will showcase diverse, unique gift items and offer amazing deals.

To kick off Small Business Saturday, VP Realty and Vincent Esq. will be sponsoring a “Welcome Breakfast” at Cellar Door Coffee Company from 9 am to 11 am.  Here you will be able to get your Small Business Saturday Swag Bag with a listing of special promotions and events that are scheduled throughout Garrettsville.

Beginning at 10 am, the Garrettsville Merchants will be ready to greet you and assist in finding that perfect gift for your loved ones!  In addition, many will be offering something special for the little ones in tow including face painting and crafts.

Santa Claus will be available for multiple photo opps throughout the day — check the schedule for times and locations.  Santa will then bring a very busy day to an end when he arrives by fire truck at the clock tower where there will be cookies, caroling and a final opportunity to tell the jolly ol’elf what is on your Christmas list!

While you are in town, be sure to take advantage of the “Christmas on Main” promotion – simply shop or dine in town throughout the holiday season, get your card stamped and for every $100 spent locally you will be entered into the drawing to win $500 in Chamber Bucks! This annual event sponsored by the  Garrettsville Area Chamber encourages  people to shop and dine locally and get reacquainted with the local merchants — a win-win for all!

Remember, supporting local businesses is easy. The bottom line? Don’t shop locally only on Small Business Saturday. Do it every chance you get, all year long.
