The Sisterhood of St. Joseph is “kicking off” winter with a fun and easy fundraiser to support a member of our community. Angela, who is a 2-time brain injury survivor, is raising money for a service dog to help her with everyday tasks. The funds generated will go toward supporting Angela and her efforts in paying for the training of her new working partner and companion.

To participate in this fundraiser, bring in your gently worn, used, and new shoes for our first ever shoe drive between November 11 and January 10. There is a collection box located in the school building entrance for you to drop off your donations. All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners in developing nations who need economic opportunities.

Funds2Orgs works with them helping to create, maintain, and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. The shoes collected serve as a philanthropic bridge to give people a hand-up and work opportunity, rather than just a hand-out.

Thank you in advance for your shoe donations! Questions? Please contact Luci Curtin (330-626-2672).
