Roy R. Raab, 76, of Garrettsville, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He was born in Garrettsville on December 12, 1946, to the late Henry Raab and Rose Adams.

He was born and raised in Garrettsville, and was proud to obtain his GED. Roy worked at Paul’s Lumber, and worked for many years at Samuel Moore/Eaton Corp in Mantua. He liked to volunteer for J.A.G. High School Chain Gang, and Roy assisted in building sets for the high school musicals. Roy also pitched in with coaching baseball and softball when his children played. He was an avid scroll worker, and many people were apt to receive special homemade wooden gifts, as well as handmade gifts he donated to POW and veterans. Roy liked gardening when he felt well, he enjoyed listening to his audio books, and above all else, he loved spending time with his family.

Roy will be deeply missed by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Cecilia “Cissy” (Wojtowicz) Raab; children, Kim (Jim) Curry, Eric (Trudie) Raab, and Joshua (Dawn) Raab; 5 grandchildren; sister, Virginia, and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary Raab.

Please join the family for a memorial visitation on Thursday, November 2, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m., and will be followed by Military Honors.
