Rodger G. Evans, 62, of Garrettsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1959, in Ravenna, to Elton E. and Eleanor (Thrasher) Evans, Sr.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and recently retired as a mail carrier at the Mantua Post Office. Rodger was the co-owner of the Garrettsville Cinema, and he was a member of the Ravenna Community Choir. He was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to all in his community.
Rodger will be deeply missed by his loving siblings, Vera Sweda Miller, Elton (Rita) Evans, Earl Evans, and Dale (Jerri) Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law, Dan Sweda and Dan Miller.
As Rodger wished, cremation has been chosen and he will be laid to rest beside his parents at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville with Military Honors in the spring.
