Start your new year out right with the Aspire Program, a non-profit that has served adults in Portage County for over 30 years. Aspire has sites available throughout Portage County in the morning, afternoon, or evening, which provides:
• HSE/GED Prep – Earn your high school equivalency at your own pace. Attend class with a certified instructor who will guide you with your studies or work online with your own laptop or tablet. We have free pre-testing and you have the possibility of earning your HSE/GED for free (ask for details). Classes on-site in Kent, Ravenna, and Windham, and online.
• Refresh your skills – If you already have your high school diploma and want to refresh your skills, we can help you with reading, language or math.
• Childcare Prep or Medical Prep – Prepare yourself for employment in one of these fields. Classes start in mid-January!
• Financial Literacy – Make yourself financially stronger and learn the basics of financial literacy.
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) – Discover English skills, study for your citizenship exam, or create a resume and cover letter for employment with our skilled instructors. Classes available in Kent.
