He enjoyed all things Cleveland Sports, Ohio State Athletics, and he continuously rooted for the Streetsboro Rockets years after graduating. Rich strongly loved his dogs, Mersadies and Bently. When he was young, Rich also enjoyed going fishing with his dad and older brother out on Mosquito Lake. Additionally, he used to be an avid bowler playing in leagues at Twin Star Lanes and Kent Lanes – 11th Frame. But most of all, Rich loved spending time with his family and especially being called “Papa”.
Rich will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carma (Connie), with whom he was blessed to share almost 30 years of marriage; mother, Betty Eikelberry; children, Joe (Lisa) Davis, Anita (John) Wagaman, Melinda (Richard) Barnes, and Brittany (David) Duncan; grandchildren, Autumn Barnes, Zachary Barnes, Kyle Wagaman, Tiffany Wagaman, Michael Barnes, Malisa Barnes, Hailey Duncan, and Lincoln Duncan; great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Barnes; siblings, Bob (Sue) Eikelberry and Linda Eikelberry-Bartlett, as well as two nieces, a nephew, and many friends.

Per Rich’s wishes, he is to be cremated. A celebration of Rich’s Life will be held at The Windham Community Center, 9647 E. Center St., Windham, OH 44288, on July 31, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00P.M. The celebration is a potluck; to all those who attend, please bring a dish for everyone to share. Come as you are or in your Cleveland/Buckeye gear, to honor Rich’s love of sports. Care for Rich was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
