Rae Bonner isn’t just the founder of Bonner Farms Natural Beauty — she’s the heart, the hands, and the soul behind every single jar.
And like most good stories, hers began right at home… on the family farm.
When Covid hit, Rae was bundled up in the cold, selling farm-fresh meat packages with her son Joe and cousin, Gail straight out of her garage. What started as a simple way to serve her community quickly grew into Bonner Farms Beef & Market (now owned and operated by John & Kara Bonner). But even while helping build that business, something deeper was stirring inside her.
She felt called to create something personal.
Something meaningful.
Something truly her own.
Twelve years earlier, Rae had been diagnosed with Celiac disease and thyroid issues. That diagnosis changed her life. She began reading every label, questioning every ingredient, and paying close attention to what she put in and on her body. It didn’t take long for her to realize that many store-bought lotions, hair products and skincare items were filled with chemicals, gluten, and artificial fragances her body simply couldn’t tolerate.
So Rae did what she’s always done.
She went back to the farm. Her husband, Dick suggested that she should start creating her own creams, lotions straight from their own naturally raised cattle suet. So she started online classes for cosmetics, essential oils, how to make lotions, cream and body butters and became Certified.
Using grass-fed, no antibiotic, no added hormone tallow, clean ingredients, and old-fashioned care, she began crafting skincare the way she believed it should be made – simple, pure, and intentional. What started in her own kitchen grew into a full skincare line that is truly farm to skin.
Every single product is handmade by Rae herself. No factories. No mass production. No shortcuts.

Each jar is created with intention and care — especially for those with sensitive skin, allergies, or health concerns. Rae understands what it feels like to struggle with products that don’t work, and that understanding is woven into everything she makes.
You won’t find Bonner Farms Natural Beauty Products in big box stores. It’s sold exclusively at her daughter, Shay’s boutique & spa, (Vivid Vibes Boutique & Spa in Garrettsville), and used with all her daughter Shay’s facial and massages to create an all-natural atmosphere and bliss experience. Shay has studied every product, what’s in it and knows how they all work with the skin from head to toe!

When she’s not whipping tallow or pouring balms, Rae is spending time with her husband, her two kids, and her dog Turbo — soaking in farm life and the little moments that matter most.
