All of us at Home Instead Senior Care and our Portage County Community care so deeply for our seniors that we want to provide information and contacts for seniors to stay in their homes  and remain healthy.

To the Home Instead Senior Care® network, enhancing the lives of aging adults and their families isn’t just about providing care services. If there’s a way we can make your life a little easier, a little less stressful, a little more manageable, we’re glad to share our resources and care expertise with you.

The Simple Meds Solution – Home Instead, Inc. has partnered with Simple MedsSM to help seniors simplify the process of organizing and taking their medications. Simple Meds pharmacists can sort all of your medications into pre-packaged doses labeled with the date and time they should be taken. You’ll receive a 30-day supply in the mail, and Simple Meds will consult with you, your doctor and your insurance company on a regular basis to help ensure everything is accurate and up-to-date. There are no extra fees or costs for this service outside of your applicable copays.  Shipping is always free and Simple Meds is a full service pharmacy including: Over-the-counter medications, Insulin, Inhalers and Eye Drops. Using the Simple Meds program is a NO OBLIGATION type service. It is simply a way to protect our seniors or those who are at risk of exposure.

We feel this will be a benefit to seniors throughout this stressful time and help to alleviate the need for seniors to go out of their homes and risk exposures. Plus, Simple Meds will be in contact with your senior on a monthly basis to check in with them.  If you would like to start this program please contact Simple Meds direct at, 1-844-275-MEDS or 1-615-645-6337.

As always, Home Instead Senior Care will continue to be a trusted resource for your senior loved ones.  If you have any questions, please contact our office, 330-297-1700.  It is our goal, to help seniors of Portage County remain healthy and cared for.  With the help of our community partners, The Salvation Army of Portage County will also be helping seniors and disabled by way of boxed food donations. They also encourage seniors to call their office if they feel lonely during the day and wish to talk with someone, please call the local office at 330.296.7371.

“It is so wonderful to see communities coming together to help in times like this.” says Paula Baughman, Home Instead Senior Care Executive Director of Community Relations.  She urges that those in need, please reach out.
