Something unique is taking shape in Newton Falls, Ohio, as the growing excitement surrounding the nationally followed Newton Falls Treasure Hunt continues to spark tourism, community engagement, and small-town revitalization.
On Saturday, May 16, from 10 AM to 6 PM, downtown Newton Falls will host the FREE Newton Falls Treasure Hunt Meet N’ Greet along West Broad Street, bringing together treasure hunters, visitors, authors, sponsors, local businesses, and community members for a full day of activities centered around the hunt that has captured attention across the country.
While independently organized by supporters of the hunt, the event aims to celebrate the people, businesses, and stories that have helped make the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt a statewide and increasingly national conversation.
Organizers are hoping to bring together 250+ attendees for a day filled with live entertainment, special guests, giveaways, family activities, shopping, food, and community pride in the spirit of America 250.
Featured guests currently scheduled to attend include:
• Adreanne Foos, author of Images of America: Newton Falls, for a book signing
• Shawn & Marianne Donley, authors of Mysteries of the Mahoning Valley, for a book signing
• Tom Colosimo, creator of the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt, greeting visitors and treasure hunters throughout the day
• Treasure hunting YouTuber Kpro, co-host of Cowlazars and organizer of the Seeking Treasure Conference in Las Vegas, bringing a nationally recognized treasure-hunting presence to Newton Falls
Additional attractions and activities include:
• A Junior Treasure Hunt with a real prize for children
• Live music throughout the day
• Tons of free giveaways and prize opportunities
• Sponsor appearances and community interaction
• Downtown shopping and dining with participating local businesses open throughout the event
• Additional activities, special guests, and surprises still being finalized and expected to be announced leading up to the event
Since launching, the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt has drawn visitors from multiple states and generated millions of social media views while helping drive increased traffic into local businesses and historic downtown Newton Falls.
“This event is about more than treasure,” organizers stated. “It’s about community, small businesses, local history, and giving people a reason to experience Newton Falls together.”
