Jeffery (JD) Hansen, a Junior at Crestwood High School in Mantua, Ohio, has been accepted into the prestigious Ohio Attorney General’s Teen
Ambassador Board for the upcoming term.
The Teen Ambassador Board provides Ohio high school juniors and seniors with an inside look at state law and government. The board brings together motivated, high-achieving students from public, private, charter, home, and online schools across the state who demonstrate a strong interest in public service, law, and leadership.
During his one-year term on the board, Jeffery will convene with peers in Columbus to advise the Attorney General’s office on key issues facing teenagers. Ambassadors work in small groups under the mentorship of Assistant Attorneys General to develop solutions to community challenges, receive specialized training, and attend presentations on critical legal topics.
As part of the program, board members have unique opportunities to meet directly with Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson, interact with elected state officials, tour the Ohio Supreme Court, engage with Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) scientists, and learn about the functions of state government firsthand.
“I am honored to be selected for the Teen Ambassador Board and excited to represent Crestwood High School in Columbus,” said Jeffery Hansen. “I look forward to learning from Assistant Attorneys General, collaborating with students from across Ohio, and working on solutions to issues that affect young people in our state.”
Principal Russ Jones said, “We are all very proud of Jeffery for this prestigious selection. His continued leadership for our school is most appreciated by the students, teachers and administration”
The board’s tenure will formally begin with a Kick-Off Event hosted in downtown Columbus.
