Dear Editor,
The family of Margaret Paul would like to thank the community for their kind outpouring of sympathy, notes, cards and shared memories.
At 96, hers is cetainly a life to be celebrated but it”s still hard for us to lose Mom, Grandma, Grams and Great Gram.
She touched so many lives. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Dear Editor,
Due to the pandemic, The Friends of Melana Foundation held a virtual 5k/1 mile fun walk this year in memory of our granddaughter, Melana Matson. The event continued our tradition of raising funds for children’s glioma (DIPG) brain cancer research.
We want to thank the Garrettsville area communities for supporting us for these past ten years. A special thanks goes out to race directors Diana Morris and Doug Paroff as well as our Friends of Melana team.
We especially want to thank the following loyal and generous sponsors: Garrettsville Eagles #2705, Jursa Insurance, LLC., Cabi Dentistry (Dental Arts of Aurora), Hermann Pickle Co., Tarkett USA, Inc., Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Carter Lumber-Middlefield, Charles Auto Family Inc., Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce, Gary Harwood Photography, New Hearing Sales and Services Inc., St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Ambrose Knights of Columbus, Council 11801, Streetsboro Sportsman Association, The Rotary Club of Garrettsville-Hiram, The Ryser Agency, Community Journal, and The Weekly Villager.
Also, thank you to the following businesses who donated door prizes: Deluxe Cleaners, Facet Salon and Spa, Bay Window Flower and Gift Shop, Snap Fitness, Fresh Start Diner, Napa Auto Parts, Garrett’s Mill and Brewing Co., Cal’s Restaurant, Countryside Veterinary Services, Natural Radiance, and Advance Auto Parts.
Melana’s spirit shines on with hope for other children and their families as we ALL work to STOP KIDS CANCER!
With heartfelt appreciation,
