Larry McManus, 88 years old, of Howland died on March 7, 2022. Born January 29, 1934 in Windham Ohio , the son of the late Claude and Hazel McManus. He graduated in 1951 from Windham High School, and graduated from Kent State University in 1955. A US navy veteran.
Mr. McManus is a past president of the northeast Ohio hospital financial management association, a fellow of HFMA, past president and member of the board of directors of the Trumbull Easter Seal Society, past president of the Mahoning Valley administrative Management society, member of the national association of accountants and past president of the Warren toast masters club. Mr. McManus was vice president of finance at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1997. Previously he had been assistant controller at the GM Mckelvy and Higby companies.
He is survived by his wife Thelda McManus whom he married October 6 1990, daughter Deborah Barbe, daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Raymond Dressel, stepdaughter and step son-in-law Robin and Greg Woolf, stepdaughter and step son-in-law Kimberly and David Frederick and stepson David Miller. Grandchildren include Karren Caldwell, Kellie Allen, Taylor Kumar, Amber Dressel, Mark Peters, Theresa Bardo, Benjamin Frederick, Matthew Borner and Grace Miller. Great grandchildren William, Brooklyn, Ethan, Chloe, Eli, Odin, Josie, Abigail, Emma and Lincoln.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Elaine Freed, Wanda Hill and Thelma Paul, brothers Claude and Thomas McManus.
Entombment will be May 24, 2022 at 12 PM at Windham Cemetary.
