The Rotary Club of Garrettsville-Hiram zoomed into action online with the usual suspects in attendance electronically. Items under discussion included the following :
The status of the summer Snack Pack program remains in flux but G-H Rotary will still be involved. Grant applications for the district are in the process of being updated. This coming year’s budget is being adjusted in consideration of activities being cancelled and/or rescheduled; the number of Rotary scholarships may be increased. More information is needed on the possibility of doing a project in conjunction with the Mantua-Shalersville Rotary club. The chain link fence near the entrance to the Headwaters Trail is slated for removal, to be replaced by a rock wall at some point…slowly. This Fall’s Reverse Raffle will see some realignments but, at this time, remains on the schedule. What about replacing/refurbishing the iconic Garrettsville LifeSaver Train on Windham Street? What, indeed?
Procedures, protocols, personnel…. Happy bucks came in for families and finals. It’s all good.
