Garden Club Holds Plant Sale & Visits Lantern Court in May

593

The Silver Creek Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale during the Village Yard Sale on Friday, May 15 & Saturday, May 16 from 9 am – 3:30 pm.  The sale will be held at the home of Barbara & Jim Walker at 10749 Forest St. Whether you are an experienced gardener or new to gardening, this sale is a great place to pick up affordable starter plants for your garden.  It’s a great place to get advice and meet people in town who love to garden.

The club welcomes new members.  The monthly meetings typically feature an hour-long program, followed by lunch with members.  Annual dues are $15.00. Guests are always welcome to check out our programs for FREE. Our next program is on Wednesday, May 27th, when we’ll visit Lantern Court, a private mansion and garden in Kirtland.  Eddie Lagucki, lead horticulturist, will guide us through the historical gardens ranging from formal to woodland. The garden is 25 acres in total and has over 30 beds and over 2400 documented plants.

If you are interested in exploring membership or attending one of our programs as a guest, please contact Sandy Kreisman at sbkreisman@gmail.com or 330.221.0421.  We hope you come and learn more about us, or visit us at the plant sale this year.
