And the beat goes on.
Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary returned to community work after their festive birthday party on June 11, 2026 and came up with the following enterprises to pursue:
• The Storybook Trail set-up is proceeding, with holes being dug and filled by posts to mount pages to be read by those on the trail.
• The public celebration of the 100th birthday of the G-HRotary will be tied in with the opening of the Trail on July 26, weather permitting, and activities–food, games, etc.–for the community and guests. The park pavilion will be a center of information and consumption…maybe an ice cream truck?
• Reverse Raffle planning begins to gear up; sponsorships are available and encouraged. The catering is set, inventories are being made, volunteer help from Middlefield Bank/ Farmers National will be encouraged as in years past.
• RYLA activities commence next week; G-HR will be assisting.
• The abutment mural should be beginning this month; finished by SummerFest?
• Happy Bucks came in for the new street surfaces, rain, a restored lawn mower, a belt, a belt buckle with Rotary significance, family vacations, a son-baked cake, piglets coming (not for the cake), prayers for a baby.
• It’s all good.
