Everyone is invited to our upcoming program on “Farm families who were displaced by the Ravenna Arsenal” on Tuesday, August 11 at 7 PM at our school/museum, 7276 St Rt 303. Barb Petrowski, President of the Portage County chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, will share her powerpoint program with us.
There were farm families from Freedom, Windham, Paris, & Charlestown townships who were given 30 days to vacate their farms. Barb will share the details she has learned about this traumatic happening.
