Corinne “Corky” Vondle of Garrettsville, born April 16, 1948, would like everyone to know that she has officially “relocated” as of April 12, 2026—no forwarding address given, but we’re certain it’s somewhere peaceful, maybe with a good view and plenty of room to keep an eye on all of us.

Corky lived her life with personality, humor, and a clear sense of what she liked—and what she definitely did not (flowers, for the record). She leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will miss her wit, her spirit, and the way she made life a little more interesting just by being herself.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2026, at Carlson Funeral Home, with a luncheon to follow at the Nelson Community House. More details will be shared soon.

In true Corky fashion, she has made her wishes known: in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to DDC Clinic for Special Needs Children, 14567 Madison Road, Middlefield, OH 44062. However, if you simply can’t resist sending flowers, pick something you love—just be prepared to take it home with you afterward.

Corky may have relocated, but her stories, her laughter, and her unmistakable presence will stay with us always.
