Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Parkman 55+ Seniors

First Thursday of Month

Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. The gathering includes a pot luck lunch, socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures, and field trips.  Also, open to non-Geauga County residents. 

Loaves  and Fishes Community Meal

Last Thursday of Month

Free  meal  open  to  all residents in Mantua,Hiram,Garrettsville and surrounding areas.  Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars or even if you just love a homemade meal.  You are cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. This meal is from 5-6:30 pm, the LAST Thursday of each month at Mantua Center Christian Church. 4118 S.R.82.  This runs January through October.

VFW Auxiliary Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna will be hosting a Lenten Fish Fry on Fridays – March 4th weekly through April 10th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Menu: Fish, Shrimp, Chicken Fingers, French Fries & Coleslaw. $11. Combo dinners available for $15.

Shalersville Historical Society Meetings

March 6

The Shalersville Historical Society monthly meeting day and time has been changed for the month of  March.  The meetings will be held the first Sunday of the  month from 3-5 PM at the museum.  The museum will have an Open House from 2-5 PM.  Starting in April the meeting day will revert to the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM.  We hope this change will encourage more of our seniors to attend our meetings.  For more information contact Judy Richardson 330.389.0598.

Spring Bunny Shoot

VFW Auxiliary Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna will be hosting a spring bunny shoot. Begins March 6th for 6 weeks through April 10th . First shot is at 9AM, start selling at 8:45 AM.  $2.00 per round with every 5th round is a money round $5. Regular round prize is a meat package, money round is a $50 prize

Sunshine Chili Sale

March 6

Portage Faith Adult Sunday School Class will be selling “Sunshine Chili” in a drive thru Sunday March  6th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Quarts $7.00 and pints $3.50.  Proceeds from the sale go to the Crestwood Middle School Sunshine Fund, which provides financial assistance to students and their families. Chili will be sold from the lower level kitchen door.  PFUMC 9922 State Route 44, Mantua, Ohio.

Parkman Pancake Breakfasts

Parkman Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Pancake Breakfast at the Parkman Community House (16295 Main Market / Rt. 422)  Dine in or  Carry-out. 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sundays – March 6, 13, 20, 27  $9.00 each. Enjoy our special recipe sausage and local pure maple syrup on our tasty pancakes.

Friendly Squares March square dance

The Friendly Squares will host their monthly square dance, Saturday, March 12th, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St., Niles, Ohio. Neil Harner will be the caller and Frankie Hammond will be cuing line dances. This will be a High/Low dance with alternating tips for new dancers currently taking lessons and tips for more experienced dancers. St. Patrick’s Day will be the theme. St Patrick’s Reverse Raffle

The Reverse Raffle Committee invites you to their St Patrick’s Virtual Reverse Raffle on March 19, 2022 at 6pm.  Watch live on Facebook as numbers are pulled.  Only 100 tickets will be sold with 1 time buy backs available.  Tickets are $50 each with buy backs available for an additional $20.  Gift baskets given away for every 20th number pulled.  Grand prize for the final number is $1000. Community Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Harvest Point Church, located at 2121 Salt Springs Rd., Lordstown, Ohio, will hold the 1st Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  All children 2 to 10 years of age are welcome to participate.  Come enjoy a fun time of games, food and drink.
