Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Loaves and Fishes Community Meal
Last Thursday of Month
Free meal open to all residents in Mantua,Hiram,Garrettsville and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars or even if you just love a homemade meal. You are cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. This meal is from 5-6:30 pm, the LAST Thursday of each month at Mantua Center Christian Church. 4118 S.R.82. This runs January through October.

JA Garfield Historical Society
First Saturday of Month
The James A Garfield Historical Society will be open on the first Saturday of the month. Our winter hours are from 10 am to 12 noon for the month of February. Appointments to visit the buildings at other times may be made by calling Debbie Smith at 330-389-1859.

Shalersville Historical Society Meetings
First Sunday of Month
The Shalersville Historical Society monthly meeting day and time has been changed for the winter months of Feb & March. These meetings will be held the first Sunday of each month from 3-5 PM at the museum. The museum will have an Open House on those first Sundays from 2-5 PM. The new meeting days are Sunday February 6, & Sunday March 6. From 3-5 PM. Staring in April the meeting day will revert to the first Thursday of the month at 7 PM. We hope this change will encourage more of our seniors to attend our meetings. For more information contact Judy Richardson 330.389.0598.

JAG Kindergarten Registration

The James A. Garfield School District is taking reservations for Kindergarten registration for children that will turn age 5 before August 1, 2022. Registration will take place at the Elementary on Thursday, March 24, Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28, 2022. Please go to the James A. Tim Benner To Speak At Mantua Rotary Meeting

Tim Benner has become the local Mantua Historian. He has contributed some wonderful articles in the Villager under the heading “Mantua Memories..” TIm will speak Thursday February 10 at 7:00 P.M. at the Restoration 44 Coffee Company Community Room for Rotary Club of Mantua. The public is invited. It will be fun to hear about his growing up in Mantua Village and I’m sure our Rotary members and the audience will have memories to share.

IDEA Funds Meeting

McGurer To Speak At Mantua Rotary Meeting

James Mc Gurer. is a local musician. He has started a Music school in Shalersville where he offers lessons on a variety of instruments: guitar, bass, ukulele, and dulcimer.. Members of his staff teach other instruments. James has made a terrific contribution to the community. James McGurer will speak to Mantua Rotary at their meeting Thursday February 17, 7:00 PM at Restoration 44 Coffee Company in the Community Room. The Public is invited.
St. Joseph’s Men’s Renewal

St. Joseph Parish in Mantua is holding its annual Men’s Renewal Feb. 19 and 20 on the parish grounds, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd., Mantua. The Men’s Renewal is a free two-day gathering of Christian men (Catholic and non-Catholic) 18 yrs. and over, coming together in faith to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and other Christian men. The weekend will begin at 8 a.m. on Feb. 19 and conclude with Mass on the afternoon of Feb. 20. During the weekend, participants can expect time for prayer, reflection, fellowship, and food. Spring Bunny Shoot

VFW Auxiliary Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna will be hosting a spring bunny shoot. Begins March 6th for 6 weeks through April 10th . First shot is at 9AM, start selling at 8:45 AM. $2.00 per round with every 5th round is a money round $5. Regular round prize is a meat package, money round is a $50 prize

St Patrick’s Reverse Raffle

The Reverse Raffle Committee invites you to their St Patrick’s Virtual Reverse Raffle on March 19, 2022 at 6pm. Watch live on Facebook as numbers are pulled. Only 100 tickets will be sold with 1 time buy backs available. Tickets are $50 each with buy backs available for an additional $20. Gift baskets given away for every 20th number pulled.
