Second Blessings Thrift Shop Extended Hours
The Renaissance Family Center now has extended hours 9005 Wilverne Drive, Windham. Monday-Friday 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday 9 am – 5 pm. Second Blessings hours are Monday-Friday 10am – 4 pm. We have a great selection of gently used furniture, antiques, vintage dishes and many clean, gently used household items. Every week we have a different category of items at 50% off. We still have the “fill a shopping cart” from our over flows rooms $20.00. We have many new items in our Second Blessings Thrift Shoppe so start your Christmas shopping early!

Senior Center will be open for breakfast Monday mornings 7am to Noon. We will be COVID compliant, so PLEASE call 330-889-2733, as reservations are highly recommended. Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

Overeaters Anonymous (a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviors) meets in person every Monday, except legal holidays, at 10:00 AM in the parlor of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 256 Mahoning Av NW, Warren, OH 44483. Parkman 55+ Seniors
First Thursday of Month
Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. With the exception of an occasional field trip, the gathering includes a pot luck lunch and socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures and Bingo. Loaves and Fishes Community Meal

Free meal open to all residents in Mantua, Hiram, Garrettsville and surrounding areas. Anyone who needs to stretch their food dollars or even if you just love a homemade meal. You are cordially invited to come eat and enjoy some fellowship. This meal is from 5-6:30 pm, the LAST Thursday of each month at Mantua Center Christian Church. 4118 S.R.82. This runs January through October.

Farmhouse Faith Vendor Show
Sept 17
The Farmhouse Faith vendor show and Chinese auction will be held on Sept 17 from 11 am – 4pm at 1584 Braceville Robinson Road in Southington. The Chinese auction will be benefiting a local Newton Falls ministry called “Birthday Blessings”. This organization donates birthday presents to children in adoption/foster care within Trumbull county. It is led by a Forward Ministries church member named Breanna Pilipovich.

Swiss Steak Dinner

First Congregational Church UCC in Rootstown is holding their drive-thru dinner on Saturday, September 17 from 4 to 6 pm. Dinners are $13 and include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, salads, green beans, corn, roll and cake. Please enter from St Rt 44. The church is located at 4022 St Rt 44 in Rootstown Center.

Singing Weavers To Minister

Preventative maintenance of your septic not only extends the life of the system, but also protects your investment, our water resources, and the public health. Join the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District, Geauga Public Health, and the Middlefield Library during national “SepticSmart” week for a free, in-person SepticSmart program on Thursday, September 22nd from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Middlefield Library. Resource professionals with Geauga Public Health will discuss how a home septic system works, how to maintain your home sewage treatment system, and what to do when it appears to not be working properly. Altar & Rosary Society Rummage Sale

The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Ambrose Church, located at 10692 Freedom St. in Garrettsville, is hosting their annual Fall Rummage Sale on Friday, September 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday September 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday is bag day. The Rummage Sale will take place in the church hall.

Portage Faith Church Holds Lasagna To-Go Dinner

Portage Faith United Methodist Church at 9922 State Route 44, Mantua, invites you to their Lucky Lasagna Drive Thru Dinner on Friday, September 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All dinners are “To-Go” and include lasagna (with meat), green beans, applesauce, bread and cookies. Car/Craft/Vendor Show

Come join us for our Car/Craft/Vendor Show on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Freedom Town Hall, 8966 St. Rt. 700, (intersections of St. Rt. 700/88/3030). We will have live entertainment throughout the day. Our own Daisy will be doing Cow Chip Bingo. A chance to WIN MONEY!!!! A variety of crafters/vendors and cars will be there for everyone. There will be a bounce house for the kids as well. We will have a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle. Pre-sale tickets for the Cow Chip Bingo and 50/50 Raffle are available. We are still accepting vendors/crafters as well. Cars can pre-register or register that day. The CarShow is sponsored by Regiment Fabrication. Concealed Carry will also be taught. Bring your own pistol or use one of the club’s. Bring 100 rounds of ammo too. Actual drills taught.
