Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

Story Time in Mantua

Beginning February 14th, bring your preschool aged child to Story Time every Tuesday, 10:30 – 11:30am. No registration required. No costs. No long term commitment. Come any week and try it out at Mantua Center Christian Church, 4118 Rt. 82 in Mantua. Time for Tots
2nd Weds of Month
Time for Tots held the 2nd Wednesday of each month (Sept 14, 2022 – May 10, 2023) from 10 – 11 a.m. at Maplewood Christian Church 7300 State Route 88 in Ravenna. Come experience a safe indoor environment where children ages 2 – 5 can play, craft, enjoy music and burn energy (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome). Parkman 55+ Seniors
First Thursday of Month
Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. With the exception of an occasional field trip, the gathering includes a pot luck lunch and socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures and Bingo. The Ravenna VFW Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna will be starting our spring Turkey Shoot. Every Sunday starting through April 2 at 9 AM. This is open to public.

MaRSI 2nd Friday Supper
March 10
On Friday, March 10, 2023, the Mantua Restoration Society Inc. (MaRSI) is putting on a Soup & Salad (and always desserts, yum!) meal. A new addition to this supper is the trio Moonshadow. The members of this trio are Skip Schweitzer, Sarah Harvey, and Cal Craig. They play music from the Mountains to Manhattan from the 1920s to the 2020s. The 2nd Friday Suppers are becoming a nice time to have good food and time with friends, and the weather and the light are beginning to cooperate. If you haven’t been to one of these events, the Mantua Restoration Society is not permitted to charge a set amount, and we cannot mention what similar food would cost in a restaurant. Donations are graciously accepted. Come see us on March 10, 2023. Tell your friends, too!

Family Game Night

Join the Chardon Polka Band at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Rd., Chardon, Ohio for Beer & Hymns on March 19, 2023 from 3:00 -5:30 p.m. The event will benefit SubZeroMission.org. MaRSI Meeting

The next Mantua Restoration Society, Inc. (MaRSi), meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 7pm at the Mantua Township Town Hall, 4122 State Route 82, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Special guest speaker is Skip Schweitzer. MaRSI seeks to develop funding to preserve historic buildings and sites for them to be vibrant, integral parts of township government and civic life. God Provides A Meal

Windham United Methodist church and Nelson United Methodist Church holds their God Provides Meal the last Friday of each month. This month the meal will be On March 31st. The menu will be Shepherd’s Pie, Jello salad, Irish soda bread and brownies. There is no cost to for the meal but donations are accepted. Preregistration is required. EggFest
April 1
On Saturday, April 1, from 11-1pm The Fountain located at 12888 State Route 88, GARRETTSVILLE (North of Rt 305) will be having their EGG FEST!
THIS EVENT IS FREE FOR ALL AGES! There will be themed tables throughout – where your children of all ages walk around and receive Easter candy from each table. (It is like an inside ‘Trunk or Treat’- style day.) When you are finished walking around to the themed tables, each person will receive a hot, bagged ”to go” lunch consisting of a hot dog, chips and drink.
This event has been proven to be lots of FUN for the entire family. Plan now to come!

Harvest Point Egg Hunt

Huge Easter Egg Hunt – 5,000 Eggs!!! Date: Saturday, April 8th from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Life Church, 10280 OH-88, Garrettsville, OH 44231 (Across from the High School). Kids, friends & family are invited for food, crafts, an Easter photo booth and a massive easter egg hunt of 5,000 eggs for kids of all ages!
