Second Blessings Thrift Shop Extended Hours
The Renaissance Family Center now has extended hours 9005 Wilverne Drive, Windham. Monday-Friday 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday 9 am – 5 pm. Second Blessings hours are Monday-Friday 10am – 4 pm. We have a great selection of gently used furniture, antiques, vintage dishes and many clean, gently used household items. Every week we have a different category of items at 50% off. We still have the “fill a shopping cart” from our over flows rooms $20.00. We have many new items in our Second Blessings Thrift Shoppe so start your Christmas shopping early!

Overeaters Anonymous Meetings

Overeaters Anonymous (a community of people who support each other in order to recover from compulsive eating and food behaviors) meets in person every Monday, except legal holidays, at 10:00 AM in the parlor of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, 256 Mahoning Av NW, Warren, OH 44483. Farmington Senior Center Breakfasts

The Senior Center is open for breakfast Mondays from 7a-Noon. A full menu is offered from scrambled eggs to Belgian Waffles. Young At Heart Meetings

Time for Tots
2nd Weds of Month
Time for Tots held the 2nd Wednesday of each month (Sept 14, 2022 – May 10, 2023) from 10 – 11 a.m. at Maplewood Christian Church 7300 State Route 88 in Ravenna. Come experience a safe indoor environment where children ages 2 – 5 can play, craft, enjoy music and burn energy (adults stay for fun, siblings welcome). Parkman 55+ Seniors
First Thursday of Month
Please join area seniors over 55 for a monthly gathering on the first Thursday at the Parkman Community Center at 11:30 am. With the exception of an occasional field trip, the gathering includes a pot luck lunch and socializing and various programs such as entertainment, informational lectures and Bingo. Deck The Halls: A Candyland Christmas

The James A. Garfield Band Boosters is sponsoring Deck the Halls: A Candyland Christmas on December 10th from 2-4 at the high school. Kid crafts, games, refreshments, vendors, a bake sale, Chinese auction, a visit from Santa and our magnificent Jazz Band will be playing. Come join the fun!

Cookies With Santa

Come join us for Cookies with Santa on Saturday, December 10 from 1 to 4 at the Freedom Town Hall, 8966 St. RT. 700. Enjoy some hot chocolate, cider and cookies all while mingling with Santa. There will be a craft and goodie bag for the kids (limited quantity). Bring your camera and get your picture taken by the tree with Santa (free). St. Ambrose Christmas Concert

Back again since Covid made its presence felt is the St. Ambrose Christmas Concert. The songs will consist of Advent and Christmas themes. It will take place at the church, 10692 Freedom St., Garrettsville on December 11 at 3:00 pm. Looking forward to sharing this wonderful afternoon with everyone!

Historical Society Holiday Party

Freedom Township Historical Society’s Holiday Party will be Tuesday, December 13 at 7 PM at the Drakesburg School # 2, 7276 St Rt 303. This program is open to our members and the public. Our program will consist of members telling, sharing, or showing a favorite memory from their past Christmases. Light refreshments will be served. You will be able to see first hand all the improvements to this almost 150 year old building and to view our mini one room school. What an opportunity! – good fellowship, good food, and a good meeting place.

Christmas Candlelight Service

You are invited to The First Congregational Church of Freedom Christmas Candlelight evening service
Friday, Dec. 23 at 6:30 pm. at 8961 St. Rt. 88 in Freedom Township on the triangle of Rt.88, Rt. 303 and Rt. 700. Our Pastor Jody Hill will be giving the message. Debbie Sommers plays the organ and Renee Ruley plays the piano. We close the service by singing Silent Night in the Candle Light. There is a chandelier hanging from the ceiling with battery operated candles flickering so no one gets wax falling on them. Come and enjoy the fellowship.

introductory lesson (FREE) for those interested in learning to play. The first session will be on January 11th from 2-4 PM at the Y, with a 2nd session on Saturday, January 14th from 4-6 PM.The lesson will be an overview of the game and a chance to try it out (EQUIPMENT PROVIDED).
